Gordon King is still painting, concentrating mainly on figure work now, but in the 1980s he was virtually a staff artist for Goodchild publishers, producing many of their dustwrappers.
He provided the dustwrapper artwork for the nine Monica Edwards' books issued by John Goodchild. The first five were published in 1984, the remaining five two years later.
